If you could allow functionality for B&B's too, not just 'apartments', that would be great.

Also, a way to disable the calendar would be good too... since not all places like advertising when they have rooms booked out since it stops the people calling... and loose the chance to cross sell.

Actually, that brings up a good point... maybe an automatic cross sell module or something similar that lets a person book room 'g' when all room 'g's' are booked out, if a higher class of room is available?

Just my thoughts again... I've got to learn the world of PHP! ???

Hi,

May i suggest in your design process, u need to think about B2C and B2B interfaces....in the travel industry., therer are basically 4 players.

Booker - Someone that make bookings either for themselves or on behalf for pple. If for themsevlves, its B2C, if on behalf for someone else, its B2B.

Retailer - Basically the owner of the site. They are normally travel agents.

Wholesaler - These are consolidators. Mainly hotel consolidators like Guilliver, Hotemart..etc Their main role is to do contracting with overseas suppliers (either directly with hotels or Ground handler/operator)

Supplier - Normally they are called principal or operator.
these are the pple that actually deliver the service, e.g Hotel, tour company...etc.

So, the application needs to cater to these pple...

cheers :)

No this script is not oscommerce related. Its a custom script being developed by our inhouse coders and myself.

Thats a very good question and its now 6 years since we started work on it

All my work i do here is done in my spare time, which in the past few years has been very limited due to work commitments, family and building a new house.

The script is currently installed and running happily on a couple of test sites and i have been working on bugs and upgrades to it over the past 2 years to ensure its a commercially viable and quality script.

We will shortly have a demonstration of the script on the site and time provided im hoping it will be ready in a couple of months time, but i have said that in the past and things have cropped up.

When it does come out however expect a quality product with a lot of features
